Thanks for joining us and I hope you enjoy your stay!! Welcome to HeavyEquipmentForums. Joined: Dec 21, Messages: 88 Location: Tivoli. Hi, The Bobcat in question is an F manufactured in December It has about 2, hours. Before I could hook up the boom, the tilt and lift stopped working.
I turned the engine off. Installed new timing belt about 1 week ago, before this I avoided using the machine for a whilemaybe something happened when I was moving the cable and fuses out of the way of timing belt installation?
Started the machine and same thing happened in less than 1 minute. No tilt or lift, BICS valve lock light offmoves forward, backward, and turns fine. Btw, Today was the first time I attempted to actually use the machine since installing the new timing belt, it starts and runs unbelievably better even though the old belt looked fine. AxelDec 22, I probably should have mentioned that mine has the ACS controls.
However it is an F-series and so the instruments are analog no codes. The BICS is probably the most advanced electronics component in the whole machine?

Hopefully some of the experienced bobcat guys can help. Your going to need a wiring diagram and a dvom multimeter and a little guidance you should beable to resolve problem. Haha I hear you about service manuals but knowledge is power I have Lil experience with these but I like to think of bics as the middle component it receives input sends it to main controller then that sends signal back to bics if conditions are right that turns lift tilt light on then bics sends out put to tilt actuator don't try jumping or bypassing powers because it's uses reference voltage and 12 volts can make you new problems good luck hopefully someone will guide you better than I can.

Page 1 of 2 1 2 Last Jump to page: Results 1 to 10 of The BICS fuse near the timing belt area seems fine no corrosion. I've also disconnected the hand controls to see if they were causing the issue but the lock light was still off.
There are a few near the controls and some next to the engine under the air filter.
The "switch power" relay has some melted plastic around the male terminal and corresponding female wire terminal. I switched it with the glow plug relay to test but valve is still locked.
Something I didn't notice previously is that when I first turn the key, all of the lights on the BICS panel light up for about two seconds. But as before, when I lower the seat bar and press the green button all of the lights are on except the valve lock.
Any Ideas? Last edited by Adalbert; at PM. Reply With Quote. Re: Bobcat F valve lock on, no tilt or lift If there was any type of open ciruit or short in wiring between the conrol module and the BICS solenoid that light should be blinking, series of flashes will indicat what type of problem. Controller lights all come on with the key means controller is geting power and it works off 1 12v input and 1 ground.
Look on the left handle, there should be 2 small green lights that should come on, stay on steady, when AHC is activated. One light is for left hand lift circuitother is Right hand tilt circuit. The U. Chamber of Commerce shared its insight on the Paycheck Protection Program. Click here to learn more. Log in or Sign up. Tilt and Lift not working on Bobcat 863
I bought a bobcat from my nephew. The motor starts and runs well. I just can't get the bucket to go up and down, and I can't drive it either. I removed the solenoid in front of the seat and held the pin up with vice grips. I can drive it like that, but still can't move the bucket. I'm wondering if there is some kind of interlock I'm missing. It seems to be an electrical problem, but I'm not sure.
This is my first bobcat. Messages: How about a seat bar? If you lower the seat bar, does the BIC unlock? You can here is when it happens? Yes, there is a seat bar.
When I lower it, what should I be hearing when it unlocks? Is this the only interlock that could be holding it out?
KAGJan 3, When I lower my seat bar on my S it clicks then I cant move it until I click the "green" button, then sounds like it unlocks then it is operational. Not sure if your model has an BIC unlock button green button. Sounds like the seat bar is not triggering an a switch that releases or triggers the BIC.
